In 1938 Arthur Hoppe started AD Hoppe Co., in Glendale, CA as a plastering contractor.

 

In 1954 the Acoustical and Drywall division started with Ken Hoppe running Acoustical and Larry Hoppe in charge of Drywall.

 

Gary Hoppe was President of Sound Control from 1980 to 2021.  Kevin Hoppe took over as President in 2021.

 

Sound Control is now the oldest Union Acoustical company in Southern California.

 

Sound control specializes in commercial acoustical suspended ceilings, wall panels, sound proofing, wood ceilings & walls, metal ceilings & walls, stretch wall fabric, decorative metal, interior and exterior specialty metals.

 

Some of our clients have been ATT, Bank of America, HSBC, Paramount, Sony, ABC, Universal Studios, and numerous hospitals and schools.
